Welcome!

Hello Friend!
After pondering starting a blog for sometime, here I finally am. I am so excited to see where this goes, and to have you come along with me!

What is my purpose in writing this blog? I enjoy thinking, learning, sharing my thoughts, and getting others input. What better way to do this than with a blog! It is also my prayer that you will find encouragement and fellowship here, as we learn how to walk through this adventurous journey, called life.

A few years back we were listening to a audio drama version of John Bunyan's, Pilgrim's Progress, and one of the lessons taught to Christiana and her group, really struck and stuck with me. They were viewing Calvary from a-far, and were told, that by beholding they would be changed. Ponder this with me.

Have you ever spent time with a friend, and later have someone tell you that you are acting/talking like your friend? Or maybe you notice of yourself...that after you spend a good portion of time with someone, you pick up some of their character and personality traits? Or perhaps, you really admire someone in your life and deliberately try to copy certain things about them.

As Christians, are we called to emulate Christ's character and personality? What would be a good way to go about becoming more like Him? Could it be that if we looked upon Christ with all our being, we would be transformed into more of who He is? Would spending time with our Lord, change us into the perfect reflection that others will be able to look at and see Christ?

Throughout learning this, I kept wishing there was a verse to summarize the wonder of the power given to us by turning our gaze to focus upon the Lord. Then one day, I found it!
Let me leave you now with this verse:

"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18
